T..T I failed miserably. I will take pride in the process though.
So after realizing I should have been doing the labs, I felt bad being so delayed. If I be honest, my process is still slow. I think I'm slowly starting to understand electricity, although I have been reading, and I'm really wanting to spend more time in Pcomp.
So here's a journal of my mini failures :D

YES. I burnt an LED.
It smelled very barbeque-y.
Heh, I saw smoke rising from
the yellow buddy right below.

And the more interesting part is, I had it working, but I got greedy and started playing around with it. But I made a very common yet crucial mistake :b
Sooooo The below is when I succeeded. hehe why I failed? I got greedy, and since I didn't understand WHY I'd need a resistor (why resist electricity when you can EMBRACE IT) so I took out the resistor, bussed the wires straight to the LED, while the power was still running. This below right here, is when I was playing safe.

Let's not be greedy, people. Live a humble life.

Going back a few days back, so I really tried to understand the full thing. This was at home. Likewise from the burning issue in the previous case, I skipped the resistor. Didn't think it would be an issue. Hey, still worked though. LED bright as day. Was happy.

THEN, I got curious and ambitious. I wanted to do the cool thing that Dan did in class. so I connected the speaker. I wanted to make it work.
It sorta did work. Except that it seemed like there was not enough power. I assumed that I'd need a smaller speaker, but I don't think that's the issue. Still figuring this one out, actually.
Almost like it's spitting or vomiting in small portions.
So after that little exercise at home, I came to school and went back to the LED. I knew there was something I'm not understanding correctly. But I was able to understand the whole LED situation now. Roughly, but still. Getting somewhere.
First attempt, the button was super backwards. the push button was no longer a ON switch, but it was a shutdown switch. Not at all what I intended.
Then I did get it to work! It was working the way I wanted. (cry) Except that the other LED I wanted to light up together was defying me.
Then, not knowing what I am doing, I kind of panicked and started messing around with everything there is. And the situation came back. The light was ON by default, but then the button didn't do anything. Nothing worked again.
With nothing working, and a blog due, I received an email from Dan. Time to prep for class :] Honestly, I was happy. It was a good point to move on. Will keep trying till things start working and I know why.
v prep for tomorrow.

Another still from a different angle cuz I like the color scheme. :3 heh. Excited for tomorrow.

Gonna wrap up for this week, but I really do hope I have a better understanding the following week. I love Pcomp, but Pcomp dont luv me back. TvT
