Astro Lee (born 1998, Dangjin, South Korea) is a Brooklyn based Artist and a Creative Technologist. Her work widely ranges from both technical and traditional mediums, from drawing, painting, installation, writing to 3D renders, Visual Effects, and Immersive projects involving Programming and Circuit based platforms.

She is currently studying in the MPS Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University, with a focus in Programming and Kinetic devices. Her practice includes encapsulating organic behavior in computer generated things, investigating the law of nature and creating digital replications of her observation, and exploring borders, dimensions, and ideas.

Working as a Production Assistant at the Media Commons, 370 Jay, New York University. Looks over media equipment and multi-purpose facility, ranging from Motion Capture to the Post Production Lab, DMX Lighting and Photography. Assists reservation holders, faculty, staff, and students with the facility.

Working as a Mentor at the Hyper Lab under the ITP Masters Program, offering office hours and workshops for 3D animation and video related consulting and education.

Wrote, directed, and created a 3D animated short film God Glasses. Lead the production crew, managing expectations and problem solving with technical and general pipeline.

Created CGI Groom (Hair) and simulation for 3D characters. Created using Houdini & Groombear, and simulated through Vellum solver.
